Event Details
This unique pre-war motoring adventure returns to its roots in County Kilkenny and explores new territory in Counties Wicklow and Wexford. The seventh Vintage Shamrock starts from Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort, close to Dublin’s international air and ferry ports. A morning of pre-event formalities at this country retreat by the Blessington Lakes is followed by a warm-up to ease competitors into the event. A couple of Regularities and a handful of Special Tests will add a gentle challenge to a scenic run through the Wicklow mountains. On Tuesday we venture south through County Wicklow and into neighbouring County Carlow. Special Tests, Regularities and interesting rest halts take us to the five star Lyrath Estate Hotel in County Kilkenny. This luxurious resort was the base for the first Shamrock in 2018 and will be our home for the next three nights.

Car Eligibility:
Eligible Cars: Pre-war cars of a specification produced before 31 December 1945. Please check with us if you are not sure if your car is eligible. Competition: There will be a number of Regularity sections each day on twisty but quiet minor roads. There will also be a variety of Tests on private land, ranging from car parks and farm tracks to hill-climbs and purpose- built motorsport venues.
Event Rules
Navigation: All of the route will be defined in detailed Road Books issued on a daily basis. Non-competitive sections and some of the Regularity Sections will be defined by Tulip diagrams. Other sections may require some basic map reading but all of the required map extracts will be provided.
